Information Learning Centre
The Information Learning Center is a very busy place. It is utilised by class groups for research and wider reading; by individual students for quiet study and reading; by small groups of students for study and discussion; and by staff for regular meetings.
The ILC is one of the central spaces used for the display of student work as well as other types of displays, like events and special days that occur in the ILC. There is also a dedicated board to 'Job and Career Information' for students to browse.
The ILC holds a very comprehensive collection of approximately 40,000 resources that are regularly maintained, updated and added to. This includes books (non-fiction, reference, fiction), magazines, newspapers, audiovisual resources (videos, DVDs, 'talking books' on tape & CD) and an expanding number of Online resources.
Students are welcome to visit the ILC at lunchtime for structured activities that are organised by teachers or on their own to read, study or play quiet board/card games.
