Our Special Gardens

Posted 03-Jul-2017

Our Deputy Principal, Mr Paul Lewis, was recently interviewed on Pulse fm on their regular Saturday morning gardening show “Dig It”.

Paul was interviewed about the two special gardens we have recently created at Saint Ignatius College Geelong: the Reflection and Remembrance Garden and the Anzac garden.

One of the presenters on “Dig It” is Paul Buttigieg, past student of St Patrick’s East Melbourne.

This was the first Catholic secondary school in Victoria, operating from 1854 until 1968, and it was under the care of the Jesuits. In the last few years the alumni of St Patrick’s East Melbourne have developed a relationship with Saint Ignatius College Geelong to help us further develop links to our Jesuit heritage.

Through this connection Paul Buttigieg has visited our school several times and been very impressed buy our two special new gardens so he invited Paul Lewis to be interviewed on the gardening show.

Click here to find the interview on Pulse fm's Podcasting page - Dig it June 17th program.
