Saint Ignatius of Loyola was a Spanish priest and theologian who founded the Jesuit religious order in 1534.

“Ignatian” = ideas, principles etc BEFORE St Ignatius formed the Religious Order of the Jesuit priests.

“Jesuit” = ideas, principles etc AFTER St Ignatius formed the Religious Order of the Jesuit priests. 

In reality: interchangeable.

Naturally as a Jesuit Companion School the significant ministry in secondary education by the Jesuits is well Known to us.

However the Jesuits, all around the world, are involved in many other works, such as, Jesuit Refugee Service, Jesuit Social Services, Jesuit Mission, Universities, Colleges of Spirituality, as well as Jesuit Formation and in parishes.
