Proudly Connected

At Saint Ignatius College Geelong we acknowledge that our young people thrive when they have strong role models and a genuine sense of belonging. The presence and engagement of our Old Ignatians (our Alumni) plays a vital role in the development of our young people, offering guidance, support and inspiration as they navigate their teenage years.

Our Old Ignatians play a crucial role in fostering lifelong connections among past students while actively contributing to the College Community. Through initiatives like the annual SICG Careers Panel Expo, Old Ignatians return to share their journeys, reflect on their time at the College and provide meaningful experiences for current students. Whether offering work experience opportunities, discussing career pathways or participating in mentoring programs, these past students help guide the next generation.

The recent introduction of an alumni basketball team in 2025 provides an example of how our Old Ignatians nurture lifelong camaraderie, supporting past students while offering younger ones a vision of ongoing connection, belonging and success.
Our Old Ignatians are encouraged to connect with each other through our alumni platform 'Alumnly' ensuring a continued connection to each other and the College.
