Project Compassion

Saint Ignatius College is running a week-long event dedicated to raising money and awareness for Project Compassion. This will begin on Monday the 27th March and include a variety of fund-raising activities as organised by the four college houses. MacKillop House is launching their Hot Cross Bun fundraiser on the Monday. On Tuesday Xavier and Ricci are selling soft drinks and organising a BBQ respectively. Wednesday is reserved for the Year 7/8 Easter Egg raffle and then finally Glowrey House will finish the week with a bake sale.

Students will also be given the opportunity to donate in cash or card this year. Of course the traditional Project Compassion boxes can still be found around the school in certain locations including the canteen, front office, House Leaders office and Xavier Centre.

Through these events the students aim to make a difference within the lives of those in need, demonstrating the importance of solidarity and kindness. In doing so, we recognise the theme of Project Compassion, ‘For All Future Generations,’ and act now to benefit the lives of generations to come, as well as emphasising the prioritisation for long-term solutions. We are all looking forward to this week.
